Work with us

Are you Deaf, hard of hearing, or a hearing person who knows New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL)? We're looking for someone to help us on a casual basis!

Your primary focus will be collaborating with us to develop engaging NZSL learning resources for tamariki. Your expertise and understanding of NZSL will help us create valuable educational content that promotes inclusivity and supports language acquisition.

Additionally, you'll play a vital role in our social media presence, specifically on Facebook and Instagram, by helping us create videos, imagery and information about NZSL.

What we offer:

  • Flexible remote casual work
  • Meaningful impact: Contribute to the development of NZSL learning resources and empower tamariki to learn and appreciate NZSL.
  • Collaboration: Work with our team, sharing your insights and creative ideas to shape our initiatives.
  • Casual hours will vary depending on projects, we're estimating it will be about 2-3 hours a week, so if you are a freelancer, self-employed or someone looking for some extra income on the side, then this would be great for you.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in NZSL: You should be either Deaf, hard of hearing, or have a strong knowledge of NZSL to effectively contribute to our projects.
  • Familiarity with social media: Knowledge of Facebook and Instagram to support our social media efforts.
