Languages
Our pack of word cards combines English, NZSL,
and Te reo Māori. We've designed the cards so whānau
(family) can learn in all three visual, auditory, and
kinesthetic ways.
About
The idea that tamariki (children) could benefit so much from learning more than one language fascinated us as mātua (parents). What better way to get started than with our very own beautiful languages in Aotearoa New Zealand.
The journey began with a Teacher, NZSL Specialist, Deaf community representative and a registered te reo Māori translator. We managed to create a resource which was easy to use and that combined all three languages.

Exposure to other languages at an early age leads to more positive attitudes toward cultures associated with those languages. As a result of learning a language, they gain a better understanding of the world
